2. पवित्र चिता स्थल: मैदान के भीतर एक विशिष्ट स्थान जहाँ अग्नि परीक्षा होती है। ज़मीन को सावधानीपूर्वक साफ किया गया है, और एक बड़े आयताकार गड्ढे को सुगंधित चंदन और सूखी घास से भरा गया है। इस स्थानीय क्षेत्र में गर्मी तीव्र है, जो हवा को विकृत कर रही है और पात्रों के बीच एक झिलमिलाता पर्दा बना रही है। यह संक्रमण का स्थान है, जहाँ भौतिक दुनिया अग्नि की मौलिक शक्ति से मिलती है।

चरण 9: सिनेमाई पटकथा

क्षितिज पर सूरज एक मरती हुई चिंगारी की तरह है। लंका की चट्टानों से टकराती समुद्र की लहरों की आवाज़ एक लयबद्ध, गंभीर धड़कन प्रदान करती है।

सीता धधकती ज्वालाओं के सामने खड़ी होती हैं। झिलमिलाती हवा में गर्मी दिखाई दे रही है।

सीता (आगे) (15 सेकंड)
हे अग्नि, सभी सत्यों के साक्षी! यदि मैंने राम के अलावा किसी और पुरुष के बारे में कभी नहीं सोचा, तो मेरी रक्षा करें!

सीता कूद जाती हैं। दस हजार कंठों से एक सामूहिक चीख निकलती है।

दृश्य 3: महा-अग्नि
