(हनुमान अपनी पूंछ पर ध्यान देते हैं। वे उसके सिरे को छूते हैं। वह ठंडा है।)
हनुमान: यह कैसे संभव है? जिस अग्नि ने महलों को जला दिया, उसने मेरे बालों को नहीं झुलसाया। यदि अग्नि दूत के प्रति दयालु है, तो वह समस्त गुणों के स्रोत को कैसे हानि पहुँचा सकती है?
(अचानक, बादलों से एक मधुर, सुरीला मंत्रोच्चार सुनाई देता है। कैमरा ऊपर चमकते चारणों की ओर झुकता है।)
आकाशीय वाणी (V.O.): चमत्कार देखो! नगर राख है, लेकिन अशोक वाटिका सूर्य में कमल की तरह है। सीता सुरक्षित हैं!

दृश्य 4: आशा की छलांग
स्थान: अरिष्ट पर्वत - रात्रि
अवधि: 30 सेकंड
(हनुमान का चेहरा एक उज्ज्वल मुस्कान से चमक उठता है। वे खड़े होते हैं, उनका कद और बड़ा हो जाता है।)
हनुमान: श्री राम की जय! जनक नंदिनी की जय!
(वे एक गहरी सांस लेते हैं, उनका सीना चौड़ा हो जाता है। 5 सेकंड का मौन जब वे ध्यान केंद्रित करते हैं।)
(एक गर्जनापूर्ण ध्वनि के साथ, वे चट्टान से छलांग लगाते हैं, अशोक वाटिका के हरे नखलिस्तान की ओर बढ़ते हुए। दृश्य काला हो जाता है।)
