दृश्य 2: अनावरण

(राम के हाथ पीले रेशम को छूते समय कांपते हैं। वे उसे खोलते हैं। सोना चमकता है। 12 सेकंड का सन्नाटा।)

राम (एक टूटी हुई फुसफुसाहट): सीता... मेरी सीता।

(वे कपड़े को अपने सीने से लगा लेते हैं, रोते हुए। 15 सेकंड का कच्चा, भावनात्मक सन्नाटा।)

दृश्य 3: लक्ष्मण का साक्ष्य

लक्ष्मण (स्थिर लेकिन भावनाओं से भारी आवाज़): मैं इन बाजूबंदों को नहीं जानता, मेरे भाई। मुझे इन कुंडलों का कोई ज्ञान नहीं है।

(वे सुनहरी पायलों की ओर इशारा करते हैं।)

लक्ष्मण: लेकिन ये... इन नूपुरों को मैं अच्छी तरह जानता हूँ। क्योंकि हर सुबह, जब मैं पूजा में उनके चरणों में अपना सिर झुकाता था, तो मेरी आँखों को केवल इन्हीं को देखने की अनुमति थी।

राम: सुग्रीव, मुझे बताओ। वह राक्षस किस ओर गया? उसने मेरे जीवन को कहाँ छिपाया है?

(सुग्रीव दक्षिण की ओर इशारा करते हैं। कैमरा अंधेरे क्षितिज की ओर मुड़ता है। 7 सेकंड का सन्नाटा, फिर ब्लैकआउट।)
